Time is running out to stop the development of large scale solar farms on agricultural land in Rutland.
Tell Rutland County Council your views for the new Local Plan by Monday January 8 (4pm).
Here’s what supporters of Rutland Solar Action Group are writing:
"Large scale solar farms should not be allowed on farmland. Instead, solar panels should be a mandatory requirement for all new dwellings and industrial buildings – and encouraged on existing domestic and commercial buildings."

Totally agree with your comment re farmland I'd for crops and expansion of solar energy should be on roofs of existing and all new buildings.relying on imports of energy and grain does not work especially with the example of terrorism in the red sea at this minute
